We offer three main jobs at Sventography:
- Photographer: Obviously the company can’t operate and sustain itself successfully with only one photographer. Sventography needs a TEAM of trained and dedicated photographers who can take a single or family portrait in the studio, as well as get great photos of a band playing at a local venue.
- Receptionist: This is another very important factor to the Sventography equation. We need someone who will not just be answering phones and organizing the schedule on the calendar, but will also be expected to know how to take proper photographs. Therefore, our receptionist will also be trained in photography, though not as in depth as our photographers. The reason we need even our receptionist to have an understanding and a good eye with a camera is because there may come days when the entire photography team is out at a shoot/multiple shoots. If a customer comes in looking for a portrait or a headshot we want to be able to assist them right then and there instead of making them come all the way back another day. Plus, we are all part of a PHOTOGRAPHY company, so it only makes sense that we all have an interest in, and a basic knowledge of photography.
- Editors: We need people on the Sventography team who are masters in the latest versions of Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, etc., because these are the members who will be keeping our company moving along at a speed that will allow us to impress and retain our clients. I would love to say that all photos are perfect as soon as they are taken, but that simply isn’t true. They need editing to make them look the way they’re meant to look; Especially when we have photos of clients against a green screen and we need to replace it with a background of their choosing. There will be training about which software we are using at the company, as well as what we always need edited, and what only gets edited if the client specifically asks for it to be edited (ie. freckles, beauty marks, acne, etc.). Other than that, we will expect that our editing team will already be able to edit whatever is necessary, though we are always available if help or a shortcut is requested.
Our team is essential to the success and longevity of Sventography. It is not just MY company but OUR company, and I want every member of the team to know and truly believe that they are just as vital to the Sventography family as everyone else.
