It’s about that time of year for young (and young at heart!) lovers to profess their desire to spend the rest of their lives together!
Surprise proposals have become a new and popular trend in the world of love and marriage, and being the photographer is an incredible  mix of emotions.
Anxiety is of course a HUGE one, as you don’t want to miss the shot. However, it is fun pretending to just be the weirdo taking 
photos of a tree in a small park while you wait for the two lovebirds to make their way to the location where the proposal is about to happen.
Then ADRENALINE kicks in as you’re RUSHING over to the mark you pre-planned, to get the perfect shot, as the one gets on their knee and the other instinctively puts their hands to their mouth and says, “YES! Of course I will, you idiot!”
Then you feel the love abound as you photograph the two newly engaged couple hug and hold each other as if for the first time ever…
It’s quite a beautiful thing to be a part of, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is given the opportunity to be a part of such a special and momentous occasion in two people’s’ lives. I wish those that I have photographed all the best in the world and that their love and marriage last forever.Â
